Susan Moldenhauer
Susan Moldenhauer is is one of the exhibiting artists at the 9th Biennial Touchstone Laramie Art Show and Sale, Wyomings premier art experience featuring new work from 21 of Laramie, Wyoming and Albany County’s top professional artists. The exhibition will be open on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, November 9th from 12pm to 4pm at the Wyoming Territorial Prison Historic Site at 975 Snowy Range Road in Laramie, Wyoming.
Susan will be showing new and never before seen custom archival ink prints from original images of her photography. She has been a member of the Laramie Artists Project and exhibiting Touchstone artist since 2016 and is one of the founders of the entire organization and event.

Home Place
Susan Moldenhauer’s recent work, Home Place, draws on her 40-year collaboration with photographer Jennifer Anne Tucker. Together they have explored image-making using fabrics, being photographer and model for each other, and creating cloudscape visual dialogues in response to their respective Pennsylvania and Wyoming locations. Her work with Tucker inspired her fabric work with the Wyoming wind in the 2000s.
About the Artist
Susan Moldenhauer has a 40-year career as a fine art photographer. She has a national exhibition record, is represented in numerous public collections, and has self-published books, including those in the creative partnership, Sequencing Through Time and Place, with artist Wendy Bredehoft and dancer/choreographer Margaret Wilson. She had a career as an arts administrator and curator from which she retired into her full-time studio practice in 2017. She has been a community advocate for artists and has co-founded public art programs in Laramie, WY, where she lives and works. She is a recipient of a 2016 and 2023 Wyoming Artist Fellowship and in 2017, she won a Wyoming Governor’s Arts Award. In 2023, she was invited into Photo Pensato, a photography collective based in Denver, CO.
