Svetlana Howe is a Laramie, Wyoming based artist who uses watercolor and ink create original artwork that will be on display and for sale at the 6th Biennial Touchstone Laramie Art Exhibition hosted by the Laramie Artists Project.
Watercolor is Svetlana's favorite media. She always wants her watercolor painting to bloom in unpredictable ways to capture her feelings and create an expressive spontaneus effect. She often uses bold strokes with fresh and intense colors. She like to paint using "ala prima" style.
Svetlana was born and raised in Russia. Early in my life she became fascinated with different aspects of design and fine art, especially painting made with ink and watercolor. She learned the basic principles of composition, perspective and art techniques during my Youth Art School, After High School she completed Technical University with MA in mechanical engineering and pursued on teaching technical subjects in Saratov Industrial College. But her passion for art brought her back and she obtained a BFA at Saratov State Art College with a major in “fine art and fashion design”. At this time she started my own business as a designer and did that for 7 years until moving to the US.
Mystery of watercolor medium still intrigues her and inspires her to paint. She has a great passion to express the wonder of God’s creation using this fascinating media. She believes that every artist should never stop learning and will always be in the process of discovering new things.
